Chilly morning, -6 °C out. While the morning coffee was brewing, went out and froze my fingers.

Early summer visit in Helsinki. Now this was a trip that went very well with no shady encounters and I took some killer shots, which now in retrospect don't look very killer. I hope it's a sign I've made huge progress over this summer in my photography.

Knowing the climate of Helsinki I was thinking it would be very warm in Helsinki by the end of February. Boy was I wrong! It was very cold but also very pretty, very wintery.

Sunny visit in Helsinki, Turku and Naantali in the summer of 2017. Naantali in particular shows great potential. Great little town.

Dark clouds make the best backgrounds!

The rowan have been gorgeous this summer and very peculiar this fall.

I went to shoot the atmosphere at Kontiolahti Biathlon with my recently acquired Pen-F and Olympus 17 mm f/1.8.

A hot summer's week and I had to travel a couple of towns down to Kotka and back up.

As Mayday approaches, the weather starts to be pretty good for trips to Kuopio. This is the first of many, in 2018.

The summer arrived in Kuopio as well. It wasn't terribly warm but the lighting thanks to the thin overcast proved to be perfect.

Fall visit in Kuopio, Finland in September 2017. The weather was nice for an otherwise cold September: warm and sunny. Practiced zone focusing for a bit with great results!

A chilly visit to Lappeenranta. The photographs are not all by me. This was a time when I was testing out the Fujifilm X-T1 but ultimately I was so satisfied with the X100T there was no need for the louder, heavier and slower body.

Eye pleasers or something else interesting?

The winter I reignited, or really started my photographer hobby when I first got the Fuji X100T in the middle of January. By mid-February it started to be bright at times. It was a nice winter, super cold but nice.

2014. 10 days in NYC with a trusty old Canon Powershot A530. Coming back to the pictures they look worse than I remembered, but following some advice I turned them all into high-contrast B&W. I was able to quickly comb a selection for you!

A 2-week trip to NYC (2nd time) and Washington DC (1st time) in the summer of 2016. It was very hot for a Finn like myself but I liked the trip. Photography-wise it didn't feel like a big success though... A one or two in here are not by me, the rest are.

Easter visit in Pori and Turku didn't result in many great pictures but otherwise I had a blast.

Los Angeles—Las Vegas—Grand Canyon—San Francisco. In hot September air. A small collection of some pictures along the route: less streets and more landscapes this time.

Spring for some, early summer for others. The green is here, about time. The shortest of walks resulted in a very good selection of images.

Oh the colors!

Sätös-Mustajoki can be gorgeous when the light hits right. It didn't quite hit the spot, but was alright anyway!

A big kickstart into winter this time! It snowed quite a bit and it's remained in trees and ground until now, about a week later.
